At Red Mountain Animal Hospital we are staffed by four skilled and compassionate veterinarians. With many years of experience practicing together our doctors have similar practice styles. This gives our clients and their pets consistency of care.

Dr. Michael Kleban

Born and raised in Arizona Dr. Kleban loves the outdoors and enjoys exploring all the beautiful places Arizona has to offer. Married to his college sweetheart, Kristi, he has two wonderful children; Shawna and Ryan. His animal family includes a Border Collie, two cats, chickens and many Koi.

Managing Veterinarian. B.S., Colorado State University, 1982. D.V.M., Colorado State University, 1986. Dr. Kleban founded Red Mountain Animal Hospital in 1994.

Dr. Joy Pearson

Associate Veterinarian. B.S., Murray State University, 1979. D.V.M., Tuskeegee University, 1983. Dr Pearson has been with Red Mountain Animal Hospital since 2001.

Dr. Pearson has been practicing in the East Valley since 1983. She has been with Red Mountain since 2001. A native of Kentucky, Dr. Pearson graduated form Murry State University in 1979. She attended veterinary school at Tuskeegee Institute and graduated in 1983. In her spare time Dr. Pearson stays busy with family activities that include her husband, two sons and their family dog.

Dr. Bob Bishop


Dr Bishop is almost an Arizona native. He grew up in the copper mining town of Benson. Growing up in the Grand Canyon State he enjoys hiking and camping throughout Arizona. He has practiced in the Mesa/Tempe area for 30 years. We have been fortunate to have him as one of our associate veterinarians since 2003.

Associate Veterinarian. B.S., Brigham Young University 1976. D.V.M., Kansas State University, 1981. Dr. Bishop has been practicing at Red Mountain Animal Hospital since 2005.

Dr. Kristin Fornara

Dr. Kristin Fornara is an Arizona native who started her veterinary career at Red Mountain Animal Hospital in 2006 as a veterinary assistant. She graduated from Arizona State University in 2007 and her passion for animals and veterinary medicine led her to St. George's University School of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Fornara is a 2012 graduate of St. George's University and completed her clinical training at The Ohio State University. She returned to Red Mountain Animal Hospital as a veterinarian in 2012. She has a special interest in veterinary dentistry. Her outside interests include golf, traveling, hiking, scuba diving, spending time with family and spoiling her two dogs: Yogi, a dachshund, and Tucker, a Labrador Retriever.
